New layout

I decided the new chapter in our story called for a new blog layout! But I'm still frustrated that my photos always look a little grainy when I post them here! Does anyone know why my photos look bright and clear in Photoshop but a little dull and grainy here? I've messsed with the Photoshop settings and tried to save the photos a million different ways with no luck. I'm picky aboutthat sort of thing and it's driving me crazy. If you know how to fix it, please share! :)

You're not the only one who this frustrates! I've found that if I upload to flickr and then from there add pictures to the blog they come out so much clearer.
(Sorry, the previous deleted comment was mine.)

Love the new design, I've noticed the same lately with my pictures also. I'm going to try the flickr suggestions.

I'm sure you've tried this - but have you tried the "Save for Web" option?

Is it a color space issue? Are you saving as sRGB? In any case, unless you're using a web brower that supports color management, like Firefox, and have color management turned on, the colors won't look like they do on your screen.

In any case, I love your blog!

If you figure it out, please let me know! I have the same problem when uploading my photos...I'll have to try the flickr thing as well. Mine are especially awful on facebook. So lovely in photoshop and then dull once I get them online--so frustrating to me!

I love the new layout! I have the same problems and I have found that flickr helps, but not 100%

No idea why, but if its any consolation, i think your photos, as always, are beyond perfect! Seriously...i think itll drive you nuts, but the average and above average will never see a fault!

Are you uploading your photos straight to here? Blogger compresses them which makes the grain. You could try flickr to host and then post as Aly suggested (that is how I do it too). Even flickr messes with them though (makes them a bit sharper than they actually are)...but at least there is no grain that way.

I know you don't like flickr very much, but you can keep them all private over there and just grab the image code to post them here. The double process kind of stinks though.

Clarissa is so beautiful! :-)

Hmmmm, I've been wondering the same thing about my photos on Blogspot. I might try Flickr.... I hate how Blogger uploads them anyway!
