Today after Shawn got home from the work the two of us had a date night at the mall. I'm planning to do some family photos while we're in the mountains next week, so I needed to go shopping for portrait outfits.
To be honest, I don't love to shop. I'm so not a normal woman, lol. I find shopping frustrating because I usually know what I'm looking for in my head and I can never pull it off in reality. I kind if knew what I was going for as far as coordinating outfits for photos, but when I got there it was tricky. It's really hard to find coordinating outfits for girls and boys and grown ups. You want them to coordinate but not be super matchy, and I'm completely deficient in knowing how to color coordinate things, as we all remember from the basement paint meltdown of 2013.
But I think we finally figured it out, I hope, and I bought some cute stuff. The place we're going next week is just breathtakingly beautiful. Seriously, the Teton mountains are just spectacular to see, so I'm really excited about taking some pictures there. You can't ask for a more beautiful backdrop.
So that's what I did tonight. Picking out clothes was tricky, but spending the evening with Shawn and no kids was kind of awesome. The past couple of weeks have been super stressful and I needed an evening out of the house. I know shopping for clothes at the mall is not Shawn's first choice for fun date nights, but he's a super good sport and I love shopping with him. Date night with this awesome guy at the mall made me happy!
